Floyd Landis Videos

Pretty cool video

Tour of Missouri Final Stage

April and i took the family to St Louis to visit with a friend and watch the final stage of the Tour of Missouri. St Louis is awesome we had lots of fun and saw some neat sights. The St. Louis Zoo is awesome. We caught the race twice its pretty weird that there are two videos on youtube that were taken very close to where we were sitting. THe first one . Pretty effin cool i must say. We got on the metrolink (train) and rode to Union Station and caught the finish. I have to say that of all the races that i've competed in and been to it was awesome. We've had track nationals here in indy and the atmosphere was nothing like this i've ever seen before. We caught the finish and we were no joke no more than 20 feet towards the finish from where this video next video was taken
. It was awesome thats for sure. I put hunter up on my shoulders he told me that one of the post offices guys won and he was riding no handed. Thats so cute then i had to show him that the Toyota-United guys wear red-white and blue. I heard something hit the barriers as they went by but didnt'know Brad Huff wrecked untill the other riders came back to check on him right in front of us. I got some great pictures and a couple videos but i'm waiting for them to be emailed to me. I guess the verdict on Floyd Landis came back today. Its kind of a bummer. But i dont' think it really changes anything for me. To point fingers at him wouldn't be fair in my book considering it seems most of the great heroes of the sport seem to wrapped up in a storm of rumors, suspicion and doubt. I'm not saying that the new generation of "clean" riders shouldn't be supported i'm just saying that to make Eddy Merkcx a legend and then make Floyd a villian isn't fair. I'll still be a fan no matter what happens.

New Video i found

I found this kickass video from the Brasstown Bald Stage of the Tour de Georgia i really wanted to go

The way it goes

So my bikes broken. Ya it sucks i guess the bottom bracket is broken and its been that way for a while thats why it won't stay tight. Oh well but i've lost my bike for several days untill they get one in and get it installed. No biggie but i guess its price i pay my bike is 10 years old i bet Gray Goat would have some new shit in stock. April and i want to take hunter to the Tour of Missouri this weekend in St. Louis but i'm stressing big time. I don't think i'm going to get off work to go and to be honest it'll cost me shitloads if i miss work. Also we don't really have a ironclad plan for somebody to watch our dogs. That sucks, they don't need to be in their cages for ever let alone all night like they are going to be now. I'm super excited about going to St. Louis. April will get to see her friend Ashley, maybe Hunter can get to see the Arch. Who knows, I'm a little pissed because we can't seem to get anything done like this and its the fucking dogs thats holding it up. I've called a couple of friends that i wouldn't be afraid leaving the dogs with but honestly the dogs suck to take out and we need somebody who is willing to camp out at our house. So there we have it. ANYWAY looks like a good week for Discovery in Missouri, I hope that George Hincapie can pull it off

Hard To Turn

So i've been riding this week. Not like i'm getting lots of miles but i'm getting at least an hour a day. I leave the house and i'm reminded how poor my fitness is so instead of pounding myself into the ground i limit myself to 10-15 miles if i know i'll ride the next day. It really is hard to swallow looking down and seeing my speedometer say 13 and its harder than i want to ride. So i think it was Thursday i night i told myself that either something was wrong with me or it was my bike. I brought our bikes in for a tuneup and i noticed that the rear wheel didn't turn like it should. NO SHIT!!! Turns out maybe 10 years is too long for grease and i'm sure its seen water too many times. So i'll take it to Gray Goat to get rebuilt ya i've done it before but i'm just going to let them this time. I put my "race wheels" on with some phat zipps hubs and oh ya i roll better thats for sure. I'm honest with myself and i try not to beat myself up but its demoralizing to be out killing yourself just to keep the smallest gear on your bike going i feel better knowing its a mechanical problem not a physical one. AND we have started counting the weight watchers points again and its going ok its the weekend and its hard to stay below when you want to cook out and since i've been riding and april has been walking we seem to be hungry more but oh well i'll post our progress when i can
